Au revoir Paris.. but not for long!

Cafe hopping from one beautiful set-up to the next, endless luxury shopping opportunities were designer purchases seemed a must, and did we mention the sexiest accent ever.. lets just say that Paris went above and beyond our expectations and we are ready to pack up our bags and get lost in the City of Love!
In saying that, it’s always hard to get your bearings and find your way around a new city – searching for great food, amazing shopping destinations, and the must-visit tourist attractions – all the while trying to stay clear of the crowds! Follow our Paris guide for beginners below, where we show you the ropes of this ridiculously stunning city!

WHERE TO STAY

PENINSULA PARIS – Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris

The epitome of classic luxury, this hotel is an absolute must-stay if you have some cash to splash. Trust us, it’s so worth it!

You can’t expect to come to Paris and not visit this famous luxury shopping street. You deserve to take a memento back with you – a designer purchase is definitely in order! Think some of the best Balenciaga, Chanel and Gucci stores you have ever walked into..  beyond dreamy!

GALERIES LAFAYETTE Boulevard Haussmann, Paris

Now this is a Department Store that is next level! Every single designer you could think of.. they are there! Just be prepared to have a slight fit when you walk through the doors. You won’t know where to look – the killer designers, the unbelievable architecture, the stained glass ceiling or the amazing rooftop bar (now this is a must-visit.. we recommend the cheese board and a couple sneaky glasses of wine!).

BOULEVARD SAINT GERMAINEBoulevard Saint Germain, Paris

Perfect for a Sunday afternoon stroll in the sunshine, ready-to-wear and designer shops are most prominent. We suggest a good shopping haul followed by a late lunch at Cafe De Flore. You may be tempted by the Louis Vuitton Boutique to your left!

CAFE BELLOY37 Avenue Kléber, 75116 Paris

Your daydreams of Parisian cafes are made real here, with both exterior and interior rating an 11/10. Not to mention their pizza and french fries are pretty damn good too!

L’OISEAU ROOFTOP & TERRACE (THE PENINSULA)19 Avenue Kléber, 75116 Paris

An experience of a lifetime. When you combine the insane views, amazing food, and even better wine, its a must-visit for Base Colour.

BUVETTE – 28 Rue Henry Monnier, 75009 Paris

This is one cafe that was on our need-to-visit list. Perfect for a morning coffee, late brunch or long lunch.

CAFE KITSUNE – Jardin du Palais Royal, 51 Galerie de Montpensier, 75001 Paris

If you haven’t seen this coffee cup grace the pages of Instagram, then we don’t know what world our living in!

RESTAURANT VILLALYS – 30 Rue de Montpensier, 75001 Paris

A two minute walk from The Louvre, this restaurant is set in the perfect location. After lunch, we suggest making your way to Rue St Honore – shoppers heaven!

Beautiful corner cafe, which is well known for its cute table coverings featuring the Map of Paris (very Insta worthy might we add!).

According to the locals, the best pastries in town!

WHAT TO SEE:

THE EIFFEL TOWER –  Champ de Mars, 5 Avenue Anatole France, 75007 Paris

Yes, we had to knock the cliches off the list. But when in Paris, it would be an absolute crime not to visit this beautiful sight! The best way to do the Eiffel Tower – either a romantic picnic for two at dusk underneath the structure, or discovering a nearby rooftop bar where you can not only enjoy the picturesque, glittering lights, but also a cocktail or two! Our suggestions for Rooftop bars – Hotel Raphael Rooftop or L’oiseau Rooftop & Terrace, but just be prepared to pay for the experience!

THE LOUVRE –  Musée du Louvre, 75001 Paris

This breathtaking sight has to be seen. Although we do suggest getting there before the crowds if you plan on Instagramming the occasion! So set your alarm for 6am to make sure you arrive bright and early! At the time it will be testing to not reach over and switch off that alarm, but trust us.. it will be worth it!

ARC DE TRIOMPHE – Place Charles de Gaulle, 75008 Paris

One look at this sight and you’ll be amazing at the chaos. The traffic is a sight to see in itself! But behind all of that choas is serious beauty. The Arc De Triomphe, situated on Champs-Elysées, is a must-visit! Our tip is stay clear of the crowds and walk around the area. You’ll spot some great picture worthy angles that the typical tourist would miss!

L’ARC – 12 Rue de Presbourg, 75016 Paris

For the night-owls, this legendary club is one of the most beautiful in Paris.

THE PARC DE BUTTES-CHAUMONT – 1 Rue Botzaris, 75019 Paris

This beautiful park land situated on the Northeastern side of Paris, is judged one of Europe’s most romantic public parks. So pack up your picnics lovers and set aside a day to enjoy!
