After two years of seemingly uncertain times, dotted with lockdowns and restrictions, travel, whether interstate or international, has become a treasured luxury more than ever before. But as we head towards a post-pandemic world, it’s safe to say that holidaying outside of our dreaded five kilometre radius is officially a go.

For us, the first stop – South Australia, where we took a moment to enjoy some of the finer things in life. Its underrated beauty and relaxed atmosphere graciously welcomed us during our stay, revealing pockets of luxury wherever we went.

But it’s not only about where you travel, it’s about how you travel. PENFOLDS MAGILL ESTATE:

Walk around the historic grounds of Penfold’s Magill Estate and enjoy some of Australia’s most iconic wines. Celebrate all things food and wine with the Magill Estate Cellar Door, Restaurant and Kitchen while enjoying dallying wine tastings, tours and of course the stunning views.

MASSAGE AT GATEKEEPERS SPA:

Indulge in a bit of me-time at Gate Keeper’s Day Spa overlooking the famous views of the Adelaide Hills from the iconic Mount Lofty House. Rejuvenate and replenish with massages, facials and more crafted for you.

ALDINGA BEACH:

Discover the beauty of Aldinga Beach, one of the few beaches in Australia where you can drive your car along certain sections of the sand – talk about easy access. Take in the seaside bliss and sandy-white views while enjoying a glass of wine from its neighbouring cellar doors.

STROLL AROUND HAHNDORF:

When in South Australia, wine is a given. Known for its vineyards, there are plenty to visit and experience, each with their own charm. Some of our favourites? Lane Vineyard, Golding Wines and Shaw and Smith just to mention a few. Rest assured though that any trip to a winery here will be exquisite with scenery like no where else.


WHERE TO EAT.

SALOPIAN INN:

An exquisite dinning experience made with only local and seasonal produce, Salopian Inn is located in McLaren Vale, offering a mouthwatering culinary experience. With a seasonal menu based off what is grown in its organic kitchen garden, we can assure you is a meal you won’t forget.

MAGILL ESTATE RESTAURANT:

Home to Penfold’s, the Magil Estate Restaurant is an absolute treat bringing together extraordinary views, a contemporary menu and of course the best wine.

ARKHE:

Arkhé is Adelaide’s modern barbecue restaurant from Jake Kellie, former head chef of Singapore’s Michelin-starred restaurant Burnt Ends. With a sleek interior and impeccable service, this place knows how to serve a meal.

THE SUMMERTOWN ARISTOLOGIST:

The perfect place for a relaxed meal, The Summertown Aristologist is all about serving authenticity. Good food, good vibes and seriously good wine. 

PEEL STREET:

Three words – fresh, simple, delicious. Vibrant in its flavours, Peel Street offers a diverse range of food experiences in their cosy interior.

SHOBOSHO:

Did someone say Japanese yakitori? Some of the best in Adelaide, Shōbōsho creates its dishes with skill and unique texture and flavour. It’s that cool restaurant that has to be one your list.

FUGAZZI BAR & DINING:
